but I thought these little Gone Smoking cards were super cute. Matthew and I stopped in Chesham on our way to our country walk. We stopped in to have a pint at the Queens Head, it was a lovely little pub and the cider was excellent.

I grew up in Chesham. A drink in the Queen's Head on Christmas Eve beofre the Midnight service at church was a great tradition.
ReplyDeleteI think you're making me homesick here.
Wow, that's crazy! We were up there having a look around. We were maybe thinking of moving out of London for a bit and since Chesham was still on the underground, we wanted to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI think that's really cool that I was in your pub!
It's a small word! We liked the pub a lot, friendly people and it was nice in cozy.
Chesham is a great place. Property is very expensive round there now, of course, but I guess it is anywhere within an hour's train ride from Central London. The countryside is lovely in that area, and very accessible. Footpaths everywhere.
